it's no biggie - we get a bitter-cold blizzard every year within a week of thanksgiving, then after a week or so of some hard-biting stuff, it settles down and we get another between christmas & new years - happens every time but everyone acts like it never happened before. worst part is all the crazies still driving like it's summer. i had to leave early from work a few days ago due to the conditions and on the drive home, saw seven vehicles in the ditch during teh 20 mile drive, plus one semi-trailer overturned. then the next day on the way home, through no reason that i can think of except possibly strong winds while driving on black ice, i started shifting to the left and swinging sideways - after a series of counter-steers and prayers and other assorted maneuvers, we got it straightened out, but if there would have been an oncoming vehicle i would probably be dead now and my wife wouldn't have to go through a weekend of FOTW project meals!

I'm thinking your bride will be very happy to sit down and have some comfort food with you this weekend Ron.

I can remember when I was a member of the National Ski Patrol...an expert skier to be sure. Loved everything about winter and the cold. Rita and I went to the white mountains in NH or the green mountains in Vermont every winter. It helped that I skied for free as long as I stayed for trail sweep.

Then one year, just before our anniversary ..for a lark we went to the Caribbean for a week in the winter.

Anyone want to buy a pair of Olin comp 4 competition skis? hardly used....have some nice Raichle boots as well. LOL

What fools we were playing in the snow when we could have been playing in the sun!
Go ahead...play with your food!
