It's that time of the year again when apples are cheap and plentiful. Might as well put them to good use.

 Batter
 1 1/3 cups sifted flour
 1/4 teaspoon salt
 1 teaspoons baking powder
 2 Tablespoons sugar
 1 egg
1 cup of milk (More if needed to make a loose batter like for pancakes).

Peel and core 8-10 apples and slice them 1/4 inch thick.
 Batter dip the slices,

Into the hot oil they go!

Brown them on both sides, then put them on a plate to cool a bit, and then sprinkle them with powdered sugar. Serve while still warm.

By the way, that's the exact same batter I use to make funnel cakes.

Alright, Y'all got everything you need to make these and they're certainly easy enough, just do it!
(Ron, I've seen the pics of your offspring. You might need to double the recipe-LOL!)
