Buon Giorno, Ladies and Gentlemen,
 
This classic French dessert has also been prepared in French speaking Switzerland, Geneva and Basel. There are pastry pie shell variations and custard variations.
 
This is the custard variety recipe my Mom Eva had made for us many years ago.
 
6 Servings
 
4 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar
a pinch of salt
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1 cup whole milk
3 large Bosc Red Pears
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. grated lemon zest
Confectioner´s Powdered sugar
 
1. preheat oven to 375 farenheit degrees
2. generously butter a deep dish glass pie plate
3. beat eggs well and add 1/2 cup sugar and a pinch of salt into a medium size bowl
to combine.
4. add flour, and add milk, butter, vanilla and lemon zest and whisk until well combined and smooth
5. arrange the pears in the bottom of the prepared glass baking dish and pour the custard over the pears
6. bake until it is set in centre and golden on top, about 55 to 60 minutes
7. sprinkle powdered sugar on top and serve

Thanks for the compliment ... Yes, is not a fancy dessert by any means ... Just a pear custard comfort dessert ...
