I've made this appetizer many times, always gets great reviews
Bloody Mary Shrimp
My version of a nice appetizer originally from Gourmet Magazine 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined...(41-50 ct) 1-1/2 cups celery, thinly sliced 1 cup scallions, thinly sliced 1/4 cup premium vodka, Grey Goose preferred 1/2 cup chili sauce 1/4 cup lemon juice 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish 2 tablespoons lea and perrins worcestershire sauce Franks hot sauce, to taste Chopped chives Chinese soup spoons 1. SHRIMP 2. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add shrimp, cover and remove from heat until cooked through, about 5 minutes.Drain in colander and cool 30 minutes. Cut shrimp into thirds and place in large bowl with celery. 3. SAUCE 4. Whisk together remaining ingredients except chives, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Fifteen minutes before serving, stir sauce into shrimp mixture. Spoon 2 or 3 pieces of shrimp into chinese soup spoons and garnish with chopped chives. Recipe formatted with the Cook'n Recipe Software from DVO Enterprises.
