Buon Giorno, Good Morning,

Does anyone prepare home made Sorbet or Sherbert, or Icecream ? Would enjoy hearing your secrets ... and / or about your experiences.

The refreshing sorbete prepared from fresh fruit is a delightfully refreshing and light dessert especially during the summertime ...

Here is a lovely sorbete which is simple to prepare ... It is alot easier to make with an Icecream Maker, however, it can be done without.

350 grams blueberries fresh or frozen
100 grams of white sugar
250 ml. whole milk
the juice of 1 lemon
1 egg white

1. In a saucepan, simmer Water, the sugar and the blueberries until the sugar dissolves and stir with a wooden spoon
2. let cool
3. With an electric mixer, blend the cooled ingredients
4. add the milk to the mixed ingredients
5. re-mix via electric mixer and then drizzle the fresh lemon juice and pulse quickly
6. In another bowl, place the egg white and beat with a fork until foamy
7. add the egg white to the Icecream Machine with the Blueberry Mixture
8. Prepare in icecream mixture according to instructions on or with machine
9. can be served immediately in chilled stemware or can be placed in freezer until after dinner

*** SERVE WITH: bizcocho ( cookies in Italian ), whipped cream and fresh mango or strawberries or blue berries, and / or an Iced Espresso or Iced Tea ...

Enjoy,
Margi.
