I've been very unsatisfied with the pictures i have tried to take. Composition isn't really a problem for me, but camera settings and lighting are an issue.

My pictures seem to turn out blue. I think that has something to do with being under fluorescent lights, and there is probably a setting on the camera to compensate for this, but I don't know.

I need to know how to light a plate of grub, or stuff on the counter or stuff boiling on the stove. I need to know the camera settings I have to use to get the colors right.

I can light things with 2000W of halogen lighting if needs be. Otherwise I've got incandescent or fluorescent or a mixture plus the flash on the camera.
