![]() I'd like to share the wonderful Christmas present my sister made for me. I hope the picture comes out. I think something like this would be especially handy for people who (like me), use wheelchairs or scooters, or who can't kneel easily, but it would be nice for gardeners in general. She built the table out of water-resistant wood. It's sturdy enough that a person can hang onto it for balance, and it has drainage in the bottom. I can't wait for planting season. (And to think I originally asked for some boards and a couple of sawhorses! ) |

Is it actually a work table...like for potting plants, or are you going to use it as a big planter and make the whole thing an herb garden Melissa? |

It's for setting pots on, so they'll be at a comfortable working/harvesting level. She gave me a few pots, too. So far I plan to grow Sweet 100s tomatoes, cheese peppers, dill, basil and thyme. Maybe some salad greens...
It seems so far off when we're expecting 10" of snow tomorrow! |

I almost forgot- nasturtiums. My Grandma Mead used to make sandwiches of buttered bread and nasturtium leaves.
