Curried Sausages

1 onion
salt and pepper to taste
1 Kg sausages

1 Tbs sultanas

1 cooking apple

1 Tbs corn flour

2 Tbs margarine or a good oil
1 Tbs curry powder

1.5 cups of
water and a beef stock cube

1 Carrot diced

Curried Sausages Method

Place the sausages in a saucepan of water and bring slowly to the boil and simmer for about 15 minutes.Drain then remove the skins and cut the sausages in pieces.

Wash the sultanas and remove any stems. Peel and chop the onions, peel, core and dice the apple. Cook these in the melted margarine/oil in a large pan until soft. Cook for a few more minutes stirring well. Add the salt, pepper and curry powder and stir until smooth then cook for another 3 minutes. Add the water and stock cube, sultanas and boiled carrot and stir until the sauce boils. Add the sausages then cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.Thicken with corn flour and water.

I'm thinking I would be happy if I could just dive right into that pan and take a little swim....wow does that look tasty!
Do you serve it as is JD? like a bowl of stew, or over rice or something else?
Go ahead...play with your food!

Yep would normally eat it with mashed potato and some steamed Veg or you can eat as is for a quick snack.

We make up a heap and freeze them in individual microwave bowls, makes a quick and tasty lunch.
