Got the idea for this from a long-time friend - I figured we could hash out a given scenario and then, once it's run its course, a volunteer could propose a new scenario. I'll lead with this:

You are hosting a dinner for yourself and three guests. The guests are:  Julius Caesar, George Washington, and Winston Churchill.

What are you serving for dinner?

Hint: the choice of these three figures is no accident.

I'm making brisket!  Why?... Just because, It's what I do well. Personally, I don't give a rat's ass who is coming to dinner. You're coming to my house, eating my food. You like it...great! You don't... well sucks to be you, go to McD's on your way home.

Hmmmmmmm. A soldier, a statesman, and a politician all of whom were involved in wars that changed the nature of the world.

But other than that, what would they talk about?

I vote with Darko on this. It doesn't matter who the guests are. I determine a dinner-party menu based on what pleases me. And for this gathering I'm thinking:

Drinks with assorted appetizers, such as Goat cheese & Caramelized Red Onion Crostini, Calamari Escabeche; and Roast Dates.

Shrimp & Cantaloupe with Mayonnaise Charles for the starter.

Then Flank Steak with North African flavors, Parmesan Potatoes, and Roasted Serrano-wrapped Asparagus for the main.

For dessert: Cappuccino Panna Cota
