After a recent kitchen accident when our butter dish was shattered, I was forced to do a bit of recon looking for what to replace it with.  I found this in the chef's catalogue and was very pleased with it when it got in. You put some water in the bottom half, the butter into the bell (pressed in firmly), invert the bell and put it back in the bottom...works great so far!

Looks neat, I leave butter out all the time since it never seems to get hot enough in the house to spoil it.  I like the red color version.  BTW- I sent you a FB friend req too.  Look for the tortoise butt profile pick.  Big smile
