   it would be great if we were able to come up with a graphic design for a "logo" or "banner" to replace the very rudimentary one that i made. if anyone has any talent with this, we sure woud appreciate the help!
some parameters:

would love to incorporate the "old world map" idea - something from the days of the 16th century that reflected the world exploration going on at that time.
would love to have foods of the World Forum or the link: foods of the world.activeboards.net) at the top, and along the bottom have a short slogan of some kind that sums up what we're about here. suggestions would be apprecaited!
dimensions: perhaps 600 pixels long by 200 high.
i'm thinking we could put the map in the middle and a couple of "clip art" type images on each side, kind of something to give a feel for what we are doing ehre (maybe the columns of greece on one side and an open cooking hearth on the other - these are jsut ideas and suggestions would be appreciated!).
basically, the design would follow similar to one that i have on anyther website:

but would of course be tailored to our forum and with our goals in mind.

how about it? any ideas/ any suggestions/ anyone good with photoshop or graphic design?

	hey, just to let everyone know ~ we've got a member doing some really nice work on this project as we speak! pretty soon, we'll be revealing his work and giving him credit for it; this is of course a top-secret project and we need to keep it under wraps until the moment of glory. all i can say for now is, "thanks a million, dave!"
