   I notice that many of the earlier care packages include beer. 

My question, for those involved in those swaps: How, exactly, do you ship beer? It contains both glass, liquid, and alcohol---three of the things on the post office's white list. 

In fact, let's extend it out, to include all liquids. I'm curious as to how you pack them, and how you ship them.

	Brook, I've been involved in a number of exchanges, here's how we do it. Wrap each bottle individually in bubble wrap or something suitable, wrap tape around it, and then pack very well in styrofoam peanuts, crumpled up newspaper, etc. I'll admit that I hate the packing and usually procastinate doing it as it is a pain. Ship by UPS ground. My suggestion is to trade with Dave for some of his Narraganset beer, Del's lemonade, and coffee syrup. All are fantastic. Hope this helps.

	Like Andy said Brook...it's quite a PITA to pack but worth it in the long run. Here in Rhode Island it's illegal to ship beer, so I make sure everything in the package I drop off at UPS is foodstuff...bbq sauce, pickles, etc if asked. Never had a problem with UPS ground anyway...they do a good job for me.
