Tas, ROSE OR ORANGE FLOWER WATERS ARE USED PREDOMINATELY IN BAKING FOR EXAMPLE; BAKLAVA. They provide a lovely fragrance and pair with desserts filled with honey and nuts ... Very common in Turkey, Iran, Greece and the Gulf countries of the Mid East and Mediterranean ... The Pakistani Moghul Kings and the Moorish Tribes used these waters in sherberts and sorbets.
Baking, stewing of fruits and roast lamb for example are common uses for Fragranced Waters, rose and / or orange ... Sevilla is a large producer of Orange Azhar Water and the flower Azhar ... called Orange Blossom ...
What would you like to prepare ? It is also a common ingredient in historical pastries in Andalusia, especially in Sevilla, and in ice cream making which Sevilla is known for ... The Moorish brought this art to Sicilia and Andalusia ...
In India, rose water and orange blossom water are used to flavor Rices ... for example Basmati is flavored with bergamot essence water ... and their desserts ...

There is a Persian restaurant in Madrid that makes a rice with rose water, that is absolutely incredible ... The owner has lived in Madrid for 30 years ... It is the specialty of the house ... We always used to go for lunch, as it was around the corner from the GP magazine ...

Both rose and orange water are very commonly used in North African, Mid-Eastern, and Persian cooking, Ron.
You'll also find they were used fairly commonly, especially the rose water, in Victorian British cookery.

Thanks for the information, guys - I'm thinking when I order the rose water, I'll be getting some orange blossom water, as well.

Ron, it's pretty easy to make. I don't have the recipe in front of me but it should not be hard to find. I have made it before for baked goods, but I cannot find the recipe. Sorry!
On edit, I remember needing rose petals...might be a problem up there right now.

TAS, Firstly, that is a big order ... Could u narrow down: savoury sweet or sweet as in dessert for example Baklava or Turkish Delight ?
It is commonly used in Spain, the eastern Mediterranean, Mid East and India ... For example, a Basmati type long grain Indian rice flavored with orange blossom or rose water ?
A SIDE, AN APPETISER OR A MAIN ???

Well, with a 10-oz bottle of each (1 rosewater and 1 orange blossom water), I'll have all sorts of things to try. Baklava sounds like a great idea, and the rice of course.
If I try Turkish delights, I'll have to see if I can clone this product, which is my favourite candy of all:

The rice is divine ... Look up Indian rice recipes using rose or orange blossom water ... there are numerous variations with simple local Montana products ... basics ...
