We got ourselves a new grill. All we've done so far is some steaks.....

So let's get started, I started with some petit steaks, and some asparagus, for the asparagus, I made a tin foil place for the cooking, then drizzled olive oil, and white wine vinegar onto it.

The seasoning was simple, old bay seasoning with garlic powder for the steaks...

I flipped the steaks and used a meat thermometer to get them to the right temp, my goal was 140-145, but my inattention allowed it to get to 155, so medium well done. But the kids like it a little better done than the wife and I. After it was all cooked, it looked like the following...

Sarah, my daughter, was quite insistent that she have a piece of asparagus RIGHT NOW. So i gave her some...

And here is the plated pic....

If you look at the steak, you'll see it's slightly pink still in the center. It turned out quite good, that was a serving for one of the children.

Again an easy meal.

Aaron

those steaks look just right to me - we usually do ours so that they are done to that temperature.

and i will put in a plug for that pasta salad! we had some the day before and it was great!

Hey congratulations on your new smoker. I first learned how to use one of those back in college and got pretty good at doing whole chickens. It's a darn good cooker, especially for the price. Excellent meal you made there and Sarah sure knows what's good in life! Asparagus are the bestThumbs Up

Very tasty steaks, look nice and tender. Good post, Aaron!
