Good Evening,

TRES LECHES, simply denotes 3 MILKS. Thus this dessert, very common throughout Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic, as well as Mexico and Argentina, is a delicious blending of three different types of milk, usually prepared for a salsa over pound or sponge cake.

Here is my dear Cuban Galician Miami Beach relocated friend Maria Vilarchao´s recipe;

1 PINT OF CREAM
A PINCH OF SALT
1 EIGHT OUNCE CONTAINER OF CREAM  FRAÃŽCHE OR MASCARPONE
WHIPPED CREAM

1) combine sweet condensed milk, evaporated milk and cream with salt in bowl
2) blend well and set aside
3) slice pound cake into 6 Inch slices and lay slices tightly into the bottom of a Glass baking dish or pan
4) pour the milk mixture over the cake slices and refrigearate for 3 hours
5) remove and spread the mascarpone cream over the cake
6) chill for an additional 2 hours
7) once ready, now, garnish with whipped cream and fruit / mango or berries of choice
