Hey folks!

It seems I have doubly blessed. I received two packages this week...one from Boilermaker, and one from Rivet. I am the proud recipient of one jar each of mild habañero salsa and hot habañero salsa, and three...count 'em THREE jars of Rivet's new concoction...habañero calypso salsa.

Of course this necessitated my making some Aztec chips and preparing a supreme salsa taste-off tomorrow morning at 11:30 at Tuck's Pub. You are all welcome if you're able to attend.

I did the Aztec with a slight variation on what I've seen here...I misted them lightly with extra virgin olive oil, and then dusted them with either Lawry's salt, Strawberry's seasoning, or a combination of Lawry's and smoked paprika.

Lord knows I have enough salsa, hope i made enough chips...here are the ones with Lawrey's and pimentón.

And these are just with the Lawry's

I used the Pam extra virgin olive oil spray to mist them, and it really seemed to help hold the spices. I'll check back in tomorrow with lots more pics and an evaluation.

By the way...if anyone is interested, I finished the cookbook yesterday and got it off to the publisher...I should have a proof copy in hand within two weeks. I'll keep you all updated on that as well.
Go ahead...play with your food!
