Hi Melissa,

I have followed Sasha from the beginning.  Watched her daughter grow up on that site.  There is some good stuff on there.  I've prepared several dishes found there and haven't been disappointed in any of them.

If I remember correctly it was, and still is, all sponsored by National Geographic.  Sasha Martin was more of a writer looking for a project than a cook. The collaboration worked out well.  I never ordered her book but love the website.

Have fun with it.

I'm also more of a writer than a cook, so I'm loving it! :)

You're welcome!

So far I've made some of their recipes for Canada, South Sudan, UAE, Oman, Venezuela, and Turkey. (Mostly the cold drinks + salads, because of the heat wave.)

I have it on my list to look at the récipes more indepthly ..

It is holiday time (vacation time ) so I am  travelling on northern coast of Portugal and the northwestern coast of Galicia and the Islands of Ciés ( pronounced "SEES" ) ..

However, when I return home, I shall check out more indepthly ..  Looks very interesting.

Thanks again and have a lovely summer.

Same to you Melissa.

My, it has been approx.  8 years that I have been on FOTW.

2012, i think.

I feel a bit sad, that the Forum is so quiet .. and so few of the members come on anymore.

More, that it is summer time !  Many people are on holiday or vacation.

Take care and I hope all is going well for you.

Maybe when the weather gets colder, more people will go inside and cook. I call Winter "Cooking Season."

Surely, August 1st, many take their summer holidays (vacation time ) ..

Very quiet here ..

Gracoman did some fascinating Chicken with  Greek Yogurt recipe with gorgeous photography.

And Brook is busy with Persiana.

But I have not seen the regulars on in a long time ..

All my best for a wonderful summer.
