Some one brought one of these to work the other day. I had never had it and Loved it!!! Googled it and found out they are from the St. Louis area and sold in all the bakeries of that area. Here is a recipe I got off line at allrecipies.com.
I will be trying this at home soon! Feel free to post your own versions here PLEASE!
I'm sure Hoeser will have a great one for us! Right Dave?
 
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix cake mix, melted butter or margarine, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 2 eggs with a spoon. Pat into a 9 X 13 inch pan.
  3. Mix cream cheese, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla with an electric mixer. Slowly beat in confectioner's sugar. Pour over cake layer.
  4. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool.
Hotter the better bring on the peppers!

It sounds very interesting....easy enough to put together.

The one piece I got the other day was no where near enough! I will make one very soon. maybe this weekend and send you a pic. I have no idea how to post one.
It doesn't look like much, but Oh my, my, my, is it tasty!!

Here is a great tutorial on how to post pics MM...you go through a third party like photobucket...which is the one I use...very user friendly, and most important of all...it's free.

This was posted by rivet quite some time ago, but still applies.
