i put this here because it comes from a fisherman in washington state, who smoked the most delicious salmon ever.  sadly he passed on now

about 8 oz smoked salmon
4 oz cream cheese
4 oz sour cream
about a 2 oz glass of chives
mix it all together dig out the crackers and beer

depending on your tastes the amounts of ingredients will vary.  in my case i use more than 8 oz of salmon and add a bit of peri peri powder.

Pretty close to what the wife makes. About the only difference is we use green onion and a tiny bit of horseradish. If you don't have smoked fish you can cheat by using baked or canned salmon and liquid smoke.
