i've created two new categories at the foods of the world forum.

one category is titled "the best foods you can get, your own," and features forums on hunting, gathering, gardening and raising animals. this one is pretty self-explanatory, but i have seen quite a bit of interest, so i'd like to expand on it a little.

the other category is titled "food, health and wellness;" it has a forum for general or non-specific issues, but it also features forums for a few of our number-one food-related health issues of the modern era - these are diabetes, restricted salt, heart-healthy, and weight loss issues. i also moved the "food safety" sticky from "cookng basics to it's own forum under this category.

NOTE: due to the personal and sometimes confidential nature of these topics, these health and wellness forums are going to be restricted to MEMBERS ONLY, and not visible to guests or non-members (except for food safety). there may be more specific forums added as they become an issue.

anyway, that's about what i have - i know some of you have great experience in gardening, gathering, hunting, fishing, food safety, diabetes or salt-free food issues and also healthy eating in general, and i would greatly appreciate your help here.

many thanks, and see you in the forums!

ron
