Mine was a 3-part set from Faberware - definitely nothing fancy or of high quality, but among the best I've owned so far.

The money for the chef's knife came through so I should be posting stories on exactly what I'm getting with it in the next few days when I can make the order!Big smile

In other news that has me excited, I managed to add the final piece to my pots and pans collection (for now, given that I'm dealing with limited space and someone who is extremely protective of it.)  Under recommendation (provided by link) on the thread on selecting a dutch oven I decided to swing by TJ Maxx while I was in San Antonio and see what they had in the way of pots and pans. I found a 3.5 quart saute pan (I think it's the 3.5 quart model, pan is 10 inches in diameter.)  It cost me $30 dollars.  It looks a lot like this one:

I've now got a cast iron skillet, a dutch oven, and a stainless steel saute pan.  I think most of the bases are covered.
