My thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes ~

My convalescence goes slowly, but steadily - and I should be recovered enough to enjoy my traditional birthday meal of tex-mex enchiladas using our house recipe tomorrow as I cross one more stepping stone on the road of life.

I hope that the day goes well for everyone as we enter this week of renewal -

Ron

Allright Ron, I'll allow my personal rescueteam to assist you through your birthday but not a minute longer. Enjoy and send my beloved girls back as requested, unharmed and all costs on you.

Thanks, Chris - I am certain that there is some help there indeed!

I must say, I'm feeling better already ~ but whether from all the good wishes, or perhaps the antibiotics that I'm finally taking, I cannot say ~ perhaps a combination of both? Hug

With luck, I should be my old self again, just in time for April Fool's Day ~ in the meantime, I'll take all the help I can get ~ Wink

Tas,

SORRY to hear that you still are battling with a flu - virus ...

I believe you need to sweat out this virus ... one must dress warmer; a good quality wool scarf, a ski hat --- no matter how u look; and a truly warm insulated ski parka type jacket ...

And lots of rest, and hot liquids ... chicken soup ...

Finally, had rid myself of that horrid computer problem I was having ... installed the Google Chrome .. and Fil had done a few techno things --- I am not techi ...

SPEEDY RECOVERY AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY;
MARGAUX.

Margi - sometimes a computer virus can be just as harrowing as a "real" virus in the lungs or throat ~ I'm glad you were able to get it fixed.

For the last few days, I've had nothing but broth/soups and fruit juices (vitamin c), and this has certainly helped - I'm pretty sure that I'm just about done with it, but I agree that sweating it out is the way to go.

Tas,

Just received your message that you are feeling better --- none the less, you are still taking medication and need to rest, sweat this out and have some chicken soup ... besides dressing warmer !

Fil was also battling on and off with a virus ... Working outdoors and then, sweating when indoors ... then outdoors ... So, he too, was on antibiodics ... Not pleasant ... In throat ...  Now, he has recovered ...

Have a very special day, and get under the covers --- and relax ... It is important in the healing process ...

Thanks, Mark! Speaking of enchiladas (my planned birthday supper for tomorrow), I'm going to bake some of them in my cazuela, and see how they do there - another use for the cazuela!

Margi - glad to hear that Fil is doing better - these illnesses can often be difficult to shake off. Because they are often over-used, antibiotics are, to me, a last resort - and never for viral infections - so I don't take them often; but when I do, I definitely need them and they do their job quite well.
