the receptionist where i work just returned from visiting family in australia. when she went last year, she brought home an assortment of candies, teas etc. i was impressed with everything, but my absolute favourites were a pair of candies called "crunchies" (golden honeycomb covered with milk chocolate) and "turkish delights" (soft rose-flavoured gels covered with milk chocolate). when she went back down under this year, i asked her to bring home a bag of each!

i was struck with how different australian chocolate is compared to what we have here. it seems mellower, smoother, with less sugar yet more flavour. excellent! i'm not much of a candy eater, but i will crawl over broken glass to get a few of these treats.Tongue

i should clarify, there are 'high-end" chocolates, but hershey is the most successful commercial "common" chocolate that i know of.
