PART 1 - WINE SUGGESTION

Living on the Iberian Peninsula since 1997, in a sea of wine, and 75 desginations of origin, on the mainland, and countless appellations in the 7 Canary Islands, and NON Denomination of Origin (D.0.s) wines, called Sin Frontiers, without boundaries, however, as choice with their own collectives; I have spent the last few years working on my Certification with the Bilingual Council Regulator ( El Consejo de Regulador) in one of the oldest wine producing regions, La Rioja in northern Spain, which borders Navarra to the east, Álava, Euskadi or the Basque Country to the North and Soria, Castilla y León to the south.


PART 1.

1) MARQUÉS DE MURRIETA - LOGRONO, LA RIOJA DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN

This winery was founded in 1852, by Marqués de Murrieta, who was a pioneer that studied in London and then in Bordeaux, and the first to introduce modern techniques for the elaboration of wines in the Bordeaux method in he 1870s.

DALMAU: This traditional outstanding red, posesses brilliant ruby, cherry and black cherry array of hues, excellent equilibrium of acid
and expressive aromas: subtle vanilla,frutal red and black ripe fruit, is elegant to the palate, and has a memorable long finish.

GRAPE VARIETIES: DALMAU CONSISTS OF : TEMPRANILLO 85% and CABERNET SAUVIGNON 10 % and either Garnacha 5% or Graciano 5% ...


FOOD AND WINE PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:

1) Boar
2) Calderetas: stews of beef served in earthenware
3) Callos ( veal, beef, pork or lamb tripe )
4) BBQ Beef
5) Braised Beef
