Our local pub has decided to have a pot luck for the big game today, so I volunteered to do a few buffalo turds for the festivities.
They had some gorgeous jalapenos at Dave's market so I picked up enough to make 50 or so. Making "canoe style" so I halved them longtitudinally, scooped out the guts with a melon baller, and ehre we are...ready to rumble. Mixed up some cream cheese with a shredded block of monterrey jack, some onion soup mix and Lea and Perrin's steak sauce, then filled up me canoes. We're going traditional style with this batch, so each one gets a half a little smokey on it too That was all yesterday, so today all I have left is to wrap them in bacon and get them smoked up before game time. I will update this post as we go through the day. |

Nice. That reminds me, I haven't made any in a while. I'll have to rectify that soon.

Looking forward to the results, Dave - a great start so far.
Your filling mix is pretty similar to my "go-to" mix for ABT's - simple and basic often seems to work pretty well, doesn't it!
