Well, I finally got a chance to sit out on the deck yesterday and sample the Satan's Salsa that Rivet sent out. It was great salsa!! no other way to put it. I lined up a couple of cherry pepper shooters, some chips and a bowl of salsa and went chili to pepper heaven for a few minutes.

I intended to wash it down with a Boulevard Pale Ale, but it soon became apparent that it would require two beers to quench the little bit of fire that got started. The ale was a perfect compliment to the terrific home made salsa....it did manage to work up a few beads of sweat on my head, but was well worth it. I'd call it on the hot side, but so flavorful you really didn't care. I couldn't stop eating it. I'll certainly be making Rivet's recipe, but will probably cut the cayenne a bit so Mrs. hoser will be able to try it. Thanks John, for a great recipe!

yepo, dave - i am in complete agreement about the famed satan's salsa. for me, the heat came from stage left, smacked me upside the head for a brief moment, and then exited from stage right just as quickly. through it all, the incredible flavour remained. very good stuff!

I did a quick search and didn't find a recipe for Satan's salsa. Is it a secret, or can I play too?
If what you're serving comes on a cracker, you'd better have a lot of it.
