What do you say folks? What do you look forward to each and every year?
My runaway favorite is the meat stuffing, followed by leftover sandwiches. |

Go ahead...play with your food!

it's all good, but the stuffing is, in my opinion, the whole point of the meal.
for me, traditional bread stuffing with butter, onion, garlic, herbs and no giblets.

Gots to be the hot fresh roasted turkey, with the giblet gravy, and the almost sizzling crispy skin that you got to pull off and eat with your fingers...yum!

the turkey is indeed good - i gotta admit, i am rather neutral on it when it is being served at supper, but good grief, i love it later as a sandwich, cold or hot!

Turkey is so delicious and such an amazing bargain right after Thanksgiving and Christmas...they practically give them away, so if you have room in the freezer, stock up on a couple. Leftovers make great sandwiches as you said, plus think of all them hot home-made turkey pot pies (in tha middle o' wintuh!) turkey soups and stews and of course, Mexican brown Mole which requires almost, the dark meat of the turkey for a juicy mole autentico.
'Course cannot agree with you more on the sandwich business.... a leftover breast of turkey and swiss cheese on home-made bread sandwich under the broiler in the late hours - or any hours- makes an unbeatable sandwich!
