I love fish tacos even the cheep battered fish kind, but I want to make my own at home that are more authentic. Does anyone here have a good mexican flavored marinade recipe for fish. I was thinking just lime juice and celatro salt and pepper over night might work. But I sure one of you has something better.

I'm not sure if you're into ceviche' or not, but this is a darned tasty recipe that you don't have to cook at all.

That's a very good recipe Hose has got there (click on the hot link)  MM, and take note on the marinade time. A couple hours may be tops, but you certainly do not want to marinade overnight. Just make sure to use finely chopped fresh onions, cilantro, lime juice from real limes not the plastic green lime, and you are good to go!  A dash or two of cumin might just be the ticket you are looking for.

Use cabbage for a topping cut thin like sauerkraut. Also look for my wife's recipe for pico de gillo. Good luck

Thanks guys! I made some this weekend with Lime celantro and a touch cumin, and they turned out great, but I will try the ceviche. Always looking for something new!
