Hawaiian Grilled Pork Chops By Derrick Riches @ About.com
Prep Time: 10 minutes Ingredients: • 6 pork chops, 1 inch thick Preparation: Drain pineapple and pour 1/4 cup of the juice into a bowl. Combine with soy sauce, vegetable oil, onion, garlic, and brown sugar. Place pork chops and pineapple slices in a large resealable bag. Pour marinade mixture over top. Seal bag and refrigerator for 2 hours. Preheat grill. Remove pork chops from marinade and place on hot grill. Cook for about 15 to 20 minutes or until done. Turn half way through cooking time and baste with remaining marinade. During the last few minutes of cooking, place the pineapple slices on grill and cook until browned on the surface. Top with pineapple slices during the last few minutes of grilling. We were able to make these recently, and they turned out great ~ No prep pictures, but they were very easy. Here's a picture of what we ended up with:
We served them with a delicious interpretation of Keith's Hawaiian pasta salad, as prepared by the beautiful Mrs. Tas:

With spring (and grilling season) in full-swing, this is one that I can heartily recommend! |
