Hi,
yesterday I was looking for a recipe for how to make pastrami in the traditional Romanian style, and guess what, I found it in the Foods of the World Forum!
Let my introduce myself in a few words: I`m an organic farmer, beekeeper, food producer in Bavaria (Southern Germany) with a special connection to Colorado and Israel. I like to cook especially the mediterranean cuisine from Southern Sicily and the land of Israel, and certainly certain local Bavarian specialities around the city of Munich.
Maybe I can find new "foods of the world" in this forum and folks who like to share their great ideas and historic or traditional knowledge.
Best wishes to all,
osvaldo

Hello, Osvaldo, and welcome to the Foods of the World Forum! We are very happy to see you here, and we are looking forward to getting to know you. Please, look around, and feel free to participate in any discussion, or start one of your own. We love to share and learn about food history and traditions here!

My own family originated in Southwest Germany and Alsace...and by coincidence, I was born in Wurzburg. Many of us here - myself included - have a very avid interest in the cuisines of the Maghreb, the Middle East and the Levant. I hope that we see much more from you, and that we can have a great exchange of knowledge.

Enjoy!

Ron

Hello, Ron, as I read your words I learn that we have a lot in common. Würzburg is the most northern city in Bavaria, actually Franconia.
Now I´m going to make latkes.
Let´s keep in touch,
