This home gourmet recipe comes from the Bazaar in Los Angeles, one breakfast brunch favorite of his  3 daughters of Chef José Andrés. Very nice.
 
CHEF JOSÉ ANDRÉS - BUTTERMILK & OLIVE OIL PANCAKES ...
 
1 egg lightly beaten
1 3/4 cups All Purpose Flour
2 tblsps. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsps. baking powder
1/4 cup Honey
1 1/2 cups Buttermilk
1/4 tsp. salt
Fresh Berries, Chocolate Chips and Fresh Mint Herb
Evoo - extra virgin olive oil
 
1) combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl
2) whisk in the egg, buttermilk and 2 tblsps. Evoo ( extra virgin olive oil )
3) Mix the batter until it is smooth
4) stir in a few chocolate chips and / or rinsed well fresh berries & patted dry well
5) heat 2 tblsps. of Evoo in a large skillet, on Low heat and prepare your pancakes
6) SERVE WITH: FRESH BERRIES, FRESH MINT HERB AND GARNISH WITH A BIT OF HONEY OR MAPLE SYRUP OR BERRY SYRUP.
