Was feeling poorly, went to my Dr. today, after 14 hours, told to go 60 miles to a regional hospital, I needed 2 pints and am bleeding internally.
I refused, going to have to do something with my wife and other things.
I have no idea how much longer I shall be around, but I shall do my best.

Yowch!

Don, take care of yourself. Life's short enough already, no need to let things get worse. This could be something that can be fixed.

I'll be prayin' for ya, and hoping to hear soon that you're doing better.

Ron

Be well Drinks!  If you go and get checked out, then you can come to your conclusion and the best course for you.  Be well...and know that I've learned a good deal from your posts and continue to read anything you write with full attention...even if I may not always respond.

   Sincerely,
   Dan

What Ron said is the first thing that came to my mind. But whichever way you choose, I hope it's the right one for you.  I don't always reply to every post, but you can bet I read just about every one that comes up on here and I enjoy reading yours and hope to keep doing it for a long time still. Take care of yourself!

Thanks, nothing has been decided yet and there are a BUNCH of details to take care of.
(Wife is 79, has Alzheimer,s, arrested cancer and must have 24/7 care, which I provide at this time)

I keep plugging along.

Don -

I'm glad to see that you're still with us, but very sorry to hear of all the troubles.

My wife is a registered nurse specialising in geriatric care - if you ever have any questions, send me a PM.

We're praying for you and your family here.

Ron

I've been checking on this now and then as I am able to, and it looks like I have some bad news.

From what I can see, Don did pass away, apparently a few days after his last post here.

I've tried to get in touch with a friend of his to confirm, but I am pretty sure this is the case.

This is, unfortunately, confirmed. From Don's friend:

Quote He passed away shortly (a couple of days) after his last post on the site above.... His wife, Venie, died a few weeks later.

Here's more of Don and Venie's story:
