and it was very, very good!

came home a week or so ago to the beautiful mrs. tas making dave's dish. this is one that we ahve been wanting to try since receiving his book, and we weren't disappointed!

the thought of creole mustard sauce scared her a bit, so i looked around online and found a nice recipe for a honey-mustard sauce and made it for her, which worked very well. i tried the honey mustard, but for myself, i preferred using a splash of frank's original.

no pix (yeah, i know, it didn't happen) but the flavours were just right, and the ingredients and method combined will for a crispy-crunchy outside and a tender-juicy inside.

well done, dave! next on my list from your book is to try your salisbury steak and homemade macaroni and cheese!Star

I'll be doing a mac and cheese experiment myself this weekend Ron. I'll certainly post any results as soon as I can.
I intend to alter my cheese choices according their propensity to melt, to eliminate (hopefully) the dreaded "graininess factor" I will also be using some caramelized onions to the mix.
Go ahead...play with your food!

That cap'n crunch chicken certainly turned my head in the cook book. Glad you all liked it and honey mustard sounds just right for it. You won't be disappointed in the salisbury steaks either!
