Just ordered my Maverick ET-75 thermo. It's the model designed to go on a rotisserie shaft with the transmitter on the end of the shaft.
I like to keep close tabs when I have a tenderloin, or rib roast on the spit...I'll let you know how it all works out.
 
Got it on Ebay from Focus camera...$46 bucks, but free shipping. All the others sell for around $39, but add $13 shipping.

Hey dave, that looks good. I've never used one.....so the probe goes on the shaft, not in the meat? I guess that would work since the shaft is technically in the center of the meat, right?

Nope...the probe goes into the meat, but the wire is attached to the shaft to avoid entanglement while the rotisserie is turning. The transmitter goes on the end of the shaft, where you'd pick it up.

The et-75 was delivered yesterday afternoon, so I should get a chance to test fit it and take some pics later today.

Hey that sounds good. I'm curious as to how it works with the revolving shaft. From your pics above, I can't spot a bearing or anything similar.

Never seen one for rotisseries. Can you post up some pics when you do get a chance to use it. Oh and nice find !

Here's what came in the package...shipped very promptly, and kept me informed of the progress.
 
 
1. Temperature probe with cable (woven and shielded in plastic)
 
2. One large and one small adapter to run the cable through at the end of the spit.
 
3. Receiver....just like all the rest of the Mavericks.
 
4. Transmitter with bracket ( fits on the end of your spit, where you usually pick it up).
 
5. Rubber filler strips...for the inside of #4 if necessary..( I used the thick one)
 
6. Various sizes of wire clips to secure the cable to the spit.
 
7. Batteries....can you believe it??! Batteries included??
 
 Below is how it looks hooked up to my EZ-Que...it would be a little different I'm sure for a regular rotisserie. I don't forsee any problems with the cable snagging...can't wait to try this guy out!
