Well me and most of the family went down to Phoenix 2 weeks ago. Thank god my heart was not set on a "VACATION" because it truly wasn't much fun. We left right after my daughters graduation on sunday about 4:00pm. Headed down the 1150 mile trek on foot at a time. It was the end of May so no real worries about weather, figured we would drive straight through the night like I normally do when little kids are in company with me. Well about 2.5hrs in to the travels it starts raining and not just a little. No worries I can still see at least 100ft in front of me, and I am use to driving in adverse weather any ways. Heading up south pass in the southern part of Wyoming about 5 hrs in to the trip it REALLY starts to rain so i slow it down (visibility 30ft maybe). Then the fog sets in Eek (visibility 0 )....Now I am thinking WTF is going on here it's the end of May for god sakes...No real place to go except keep on going. It's not like there is a town around to stop in. Oh did I forget to mention I also had a new 26' trailer on the back as well, no real big deal just a pain in the a$$. Ok well we kept goin on as slow and steady as we were able to. Finally made it to salt Lake Utah, oh ya it's still raining BAD..Get gas and head south around 4 in the morning I decided I am sick of driving in this stupid rain and down for the night till the sun comes up. I pull over in some parking lot and commence to sleeping...

Next morning about 7am I wake up to the startling site of about 5 inchs of snow. Faint by this time I am bound and determined that I am getting the hell out of utah and down in to the high dessert. Long story short we got out of all the weather after about another 75 miles or so.

Now 2 days before it is time for me and my oldest daughter to come back to Wyoming some kids had some fun and decided my stuff should be their stuff because they deserved it more then I did. So they helped them selves to the contents of my excursion while I was fast asleep..Around 2am a cop is knocking on my mom's door so I answer it...conversation went something like this

cop: sorry to disturb you at this time of night sir

me: oh shit

cop: do you know why I'm here

me: no but it can't be good at 2am

any ways broken window. Stolen sunglasses, stereo, dvd player, camera, ipod, ect...

conclusion of my trip is I was reminded why I moved from Arizona to begin with
1. It's to damn HOT
2. Thieves

My rant is over. a couple good things happened my daughter found her a new car she wanted and I got sun burnt from playing with my 4 year old in the pool....good times
