I'll get started with introductions - Hi, I'm jerod, and I love to cook!
What a great Idea guys. I think this will be a great place when we get it loaded with recipes ! I also like the format it is very close to the v-bulletin format.

ya i think you may have it a home run here. I would suggest a misc area or something along those lines in each continent area. Just so if something doesn't fit in a specific region.

i was thinking something along those lines. not sure exactly what, but i will come up with something. pretty soon, all of those separate forums/regions.countries will have descriptions underneath them that will calrify quite a bit. after that, i'll see if i can some up with a misc. section for each place, if needed. i'll also be adding a few that are currently missing.
also for some foods, we're going to be making separate forums. an example is american barbecue, which is nation-wide but certainly its own style of food - uniquely american, i guess you could say.
keep checking in and feel free to post anything you like ~ Edited by TasunkaWitko - 27 January 2010 at 15:43 |

Hi -
Some of you know me from some other food related forums.
I'm honored to have been invited here.
I know there is a LOT of talent here and look forward to watching FOW grow.
I'm a Minnesota guy. Born and raised. Love to hunt and fish. Love to cook.
Like to experiment with new foods. (except for chitlins and offal, etc) :) BIG Vikings fan. Yeah, we smooched the pooch this season.
Just glad to be here and am looking forward to the input of those here.

howdy from the USA, jd!
we're very glad to see you here, and hope to learn from you! i'll confess, the only thing s i know about australian food traditions are "shrimp on the barbie" and a place in sydney that specialises in peas - also that australia ahs a very good tradition in beef and lamb.
thanks for joining and please make yourself at home!

Thanks Ron.
Us Aussies do love our BBQs. We love snags(sausages),steaks, chops(both pork and lamb) and the odd prawn/shrimp on the bbq ![]() |
