hi peeps ! of course with my hello if u guessed i love the southwestern flavor u guessed correctly lolz but while i mainly cook that way i enjoy food of many flavors ( yes both taste wise and ethnic ) bread is my biggest staple and i admit that i cheat ( alot !! lolz ) i use a bread machine ( bein single shortcuts helps ;) ) and while i consider myself a decent hand with the pots and pans i actually prefer some one else's cooking lolz while i'm not a proficient poster i am a voracious reader ,my biggest fault is gravy ..it's easy i know ( i have watched experts )but i know my faults [shrugz] anyways thanx for havin me

actually the one bread item that haunts me is fry bread ...years upon years ago i used to know a recipe by heart ,i'm not sure how i forgot it ( tho i suspect that car that slammed into mine kinda scrambled my yolk is part of it ) when i was young and first out on my own i basically lived on wild game and that fry bread ,while i have tried many recipes for fry bread since (most are good btw) none have quite been like that one ,of course since i have learned that baked type bread is better for me i give my bread machine a day off once inna while and dig out the cast iron ,my step mother had a similar recipe for tortilla's ( she also made the best ones i ever had but then she prolly made them twice a week for most of her life )i tried to write it down a few times but it was always "a pinch of this two handfuls of that etc "and of course mine never turned out as well ( must be the years of practice lolz )

Thanks. The little lady has really taken to trying new things in the kitchen and enjoys it when I bring her a new recipe.
It's amazing how the culture of a people is influenced by their food and how the food is influenced by the culture.
