Now that New Year's Eve is coming upon us, how do you celebrate the coming of the new year? My wife and I since we met, have eaten Chinese take-out in the early evening, shared some bubbly and watched Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein. Never go out, and we do the same thing every year and enjoy our tradition immensly, just the two of us!

we usually stay up long enough for the ball to drop, then call it a night. sometunes we have a glass of champange or martinelli's sparkling apple cider - usually it's a stay-at-home-night. |

We always spend New Year's Eve with family in Indiana. The wife and kiddies will do that this year but I will be here alone. I started a business and won't be able to leave it to go with them. I'll probably spend the evening playing around in either the kitchen or at the reloading bench.
Not a New Year's Eve tradition but rather a New Years Day one from Indiana but we always fix sauerkraut with sausages, pork loin, and potatoes to bring good luck and a prosperous new year, some folks will do cooked cabbage or black-eyed peas for the same reason. |

The French-Canadian tradition (my wife's side) is to make Ragout, and since we are not really celebrating, my head may remain clear enough to do so.

It'll be awesome. 15 of us going, so cooking / spearfishing for a crowd. Three spearos going though so we should be producing plenty. I'll make sure I take some photos of cooking and eating for you all. I'll also try to get some snaps of a kiwi christmas.
