Has anyone out there tried the (new?) non-stick aluminum foil?
It sounds too good to be true to me. I'll be giving it a road test this weekend as I'm baking chicken legs, and always line the sheet pan with foil. My problem with that, as you have experienced I'm sure, is that when you go to turn your chicken, it sticks to the foil and pieces of meat tear away as you turn. A MAJOR pita! Anyway...I'll be doing that this afternoon, and I'll make sure I marinate the bird pieces in something a little sticky just to make it a good test. |

Wow, never even heard about it until just now. SOunds interesting but curious as to the price behind it....I just shot my foil with PAM spray and kept the sticking from happening. Is it a major brand?

It is indeed Rivet...Reynolds Wrap. It will be packaged either as Reynolds Wrap Release or just non-stick. I am happy to say it performed magnificently...I left the chicken in the oven for an hour and a half, and when I touched it with the tongs, it literally slid across the baking sheet. This is one product that gets a huge thumbs up from me, and it's less than a buck more than the regular...I'll just keep two rolls on hand. |

Well that sounds useful! I'm really curious as to how they laminated that layer of non-stick coating to the foil. It wasn't liquidy was it...meaning damp to the touch? |

I'm curious as well John...the foil is dry as a bone, feels like regular foil but sure as heck nothing stuck to it. I'll be using this stuff whenever I make my wings, because I like to turn them, then sauce then and put them back in the oven and it always causes a sticking or meat tearing away problem. This foil is under 4 bucks for 35 sq ft, so it is comparable (slightly higher) than their regular foil. I will never be without this product in my house. ![]() |

Well dang, looks like it does the trick. And you say it's dry to the touch....I'll have to check it out, that's fascinating!
