In order to clear up some confusion, here is a step-by-step on how to post photos, once they are already uploaded to photobucket.

NOTE - IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO UPLOAD PHOTOS ONTO THE FOTW SERVER, ONCE THEY ARE ON PHOTOBUCKET. YOU CAN POST THEM ON THE FORUM DIRECTLY FROM PHOTOBUCKET USING IMAGE CODES. I have thousands of photos on hundreds of posts here at FOTW, and the only ones uplaoded to the FotW server are my avatar, the logo, and a few special-occasion "banner' photos. All the rest are on Photobucket - because it's so easy to use! Thumbs Up

1) First, either begin to create a new post, OR begin to post a reply to an existing post:

2) Next, in a NEW window OR tab, open up PhotoBucket and log into it; you will then hit the ALBUMS button:

3) Choose the album that has the photo(s) you want to post. From there you have two options for copying the code:

     A) COPYING CODE - OPTION ONE - From the Album Page

          1) Depending on your settings, there will either be a menu of choices beneath the photo OR you may have to hover your cursor over the photo in order to see the menu. Either way, you want to use the option titled IMG CODE:

          2) Depending on your settings, you can either CLICK ON THE CODE to copy it OR you may need to RIGHT CLICK ON IT AND CHOOSE "COPY." Either way, this will copy the text for you:

     B) COPYING CODE - OPTION TWO - From the Photo Page

          1) If you click directly on the photo you want, you will be taken to this page; on the right side of the screen will be a list of options. You want to use the option titled IMG CODE:

          2) Depending on your settings, you can either CLICK ON THE CODE to copy it OR you may need to RIGHT CLICK ON IT AND CHOOSE "COPY." Either way, this will copy the text for you:

Whichever way you choose, you will now have the IMG CODE copied and ready to paste into your post.

Continuing....

4) Go back to the window or tab where your FotW post is, and PASTE the code where you want it in the post. It should look similar to this:

5) REPEAT THESE STEPS AS NECESSARY until you have posted all of the IMG CODES for your photos.

6) Your photo will then be ready to appear when you actually complete the post and hit the POST NEW TOPIC or POST REPLY button:

That's all there is to it! It seems like a lot of steps, but it really is VERY EASY and flows pretty well. Also, it is important to note that as you get accustomed to posting photos, you will develop your own "rhythm" and shortcuts in your procedure that will streamline the process by a great deal.

Hope this helps - if any questions, just ask, and if anyone has any tips to add, feel free to do so ~

Ron

Tas,

THANKS.

I have written your instructions down in the Deep Emerald Forest Green FOTW Notebook; and realize I had been erasing the Code once I had done all the steps in PROCEDURE 1 or PROCEDURE 2 !!! Ouch

Sorry, I shall try again, and hopefully by this wkend, I shall get it right !  Shocked

Kindest.
Margi.

Good luck ~ let me know how it goes.

I promise that once a person gets accustomed to the procedure, it flows very, very quickly as you develop your own rhythm.

One thing I should say, when COPYING the code - some settings allow you to copy it just by clicking on it; other times you may need to RIGHT-CLICK and COPY, or possibly HIGHLIGHT the code and COPY. It all works, whichever way it's done.
