Papanash is a Romania sweet dish using cheese semolina flour and sugar.
some people deep fry the papanash but my mom used to boil it so that how we do it . 
i used home made ricotta cheese . 
 1/2 kg of cheese 
3 eggs 
3/4 cup semolina 
mix it well and let it rest for 2 hours 
if it is to soft add a bit of flour .
in a pot boil water 
make balls (tennis size ) and flat them .
put in the boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes till they float .
put them on a plate Sprinkle  sugar over and add sour creme .(you can add a cherry jam )

Shall definitely be giving this an Italian Slant  with Mascarpone or Cremè Fraîche and post a few fotos.

Looks like a great treat, Ahron ~ I just happen to have some semolina that I need to use, and I also need to learn to make some ricotta or farmer's cheese. This looks like a good way to do both!
