A few months ago at a family gathering my wife's BIL mentioned once living in an apartment complex that was also home to many Bosnian refugees. He was kindly invited to join in a festival of some sort. One of the featured foods was a sausage that was grilled in a long coil, cut into lengths and then baked in a bread dough forming a sort of pig in a blanket. ( if I correctly remember Joe's description.) He asked for the recipe but was unceremoniously told that cooking was women's work. Anybody got any ideas about this?

Hi, Tom -

It sounds familiar, but I don't recall anything specific. I will see what I can find out.

My guess is that any preferred sausage along with any bread/pizza-type dough would be close, but if you want to duplicate the actual Bosnian flavour profile, we might have to do a little research!

A quick look found a recipe for a skinless, finger size sausage, a mixture of beef and lamb, seasoned up with a lot of onion and garlic, grilled or sauteed and served in pita bread.
