My mom's birthday is coming up, and I'd like to try recreating the barley soup she loved from the German restaurant we used to go to on family birthdays. Assuming I can even pull it off, I won't be seeing her on the actual day. Is this kind of thing freezable?

I've never tried it, but I don't see why it wouldn't freeze well. Most soups do. Maybe try a small batch and see, if you still have time?

I've frozen barley soups quite successfully, Melissa. You shouldn't have any problems.
