Did some cold smoking today...three kinds of cheese, some paprika, sea salt and black peppercorns. As long as I was outside anyway, figured I'd do some beef kebabs and pilaf while we were waiting for the cold smoke.

My first chance to use the cold smoker that treeje told me about over at SMF it works GREAT!

Stacked it all in the gosm and let it rip. Cheddar, Gouda and Pecorino Romano on the top shelf and spices underneath.

Then turned my attention to the main event...used my Jaccard on the beef and then marinated in yoshida's for a few hours, while the veggies were marinating in Italian dressing with some added soy sauce.

Got the http://foodsoftheworld.activeboards.net/forum_posts.asp?TID=501&title=brother-johns-rice-pliaf - pilaf going.

Put the Kebabs on the gasser
Time to serve and eat!

I got those skewers at Lowe's a couple of weeks ago. I like the fact that they are flat, so when you turn them, the food goes with them instead of sliding around. They were pretty cheap as I recall...under 10 bucks I think.
