Here's one I tried last night folks....wasn't too sure about it at the outset, but it came out great. Very tasty and very quick weeknight meal.

First, cut an onion into a julienne, and toss it into a large pot. Add four or five cloves of sliced garlic, A healthy handful of fresh basil, or parsley or whatever you have on hand...some dried oregano and pepper, a can of diced tomatoes and your dry linguine or spaghetti...that's right...dry pasta.

Now pour 4 cups of vegetable stock over the top, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover....cook ten minutes, then uncover, reduce sauce to a consistency you like and serve. Super easy and tasty!

I also added frozen shrimp to mine and topped with freshly grated parmesan.

Go ahead...play with your food!
