Good Evening,
 
I have promised to provide Ron and all those interested in European top values, and with a listing of the best reds and super whites from European wineries available in the USA ...
 
I shall begin with  Italian Reds and Whites from Piemonte ( Piedmont ) $ 20 or less:
 
1. Araldica vini Piemontes  :  Gavi la luciana 2009
This white has subtle lovely aromas of peach, melon and citrus ... It has received a puncutation of 87 from Wine Spectator Magazine. Price is $15 USD
 
2. Giacomo Ascheri : Arneis Langhe Cristina Ascheri 2009
a well balanced white with pear and apple notes. Price is: $17 USD
 
3. Icardi: Moscato d´Asti La Rosa Sorì Gramella 2008
This is a moscatel dessert wine. $17 USD ( serve chilled )
 
4. Giacomo Borgono & Figli: Barbera d´Alba Superiore 2007
This is a balanced red, with black cherry notes and a 93 Puncutation. $19 USD
 
5. Fratelli Oddero: Barbera D´Alba 2007
A firmly structured red with impressive body and nose. 91 Punctuation. $ 20 USD
 
6. Cantine Valpane : Barbera del Monteferrato Rosso Pietro 2006
Blackberry, plum notes and a 90 Puncutation at $20 USD
 
7. Luigi Einaudi:  Dolcetto ( a grape ) di Dogliani 2009
Vibrant structure and harmonious red to sipping with a 90 Punctuation $20 USD
 
8. Vietti: Barbera d´Asti Tre Vigne 2008
opulent red with plum notes and cherry fruit with an 89 Puncuation $16 USD
 
9. Rivetto: Nebbiolo ( a black grape indigenious to Italia ) Langhe Lirano 2008
a firm red with smoke and cherry matices Punctuation 89  $18 USD
