A wonderful seasoning made from rose petals.

Rose petals in a pot with water to cover. Boil for 15mins or so. Once the colour leaves the petals and is infused into the water, it's good. Let it cool and strain the petals, store in the fridge.

I found a use for valentines day roses.  Smells great.

Excellent! So now when you make the rose water, you can use it to make the Salep.Smile

I've never made rose water.  A bottle is less than $2.00 at my local Asian food market Wink  But if I were to make some it would certainly go into the Salep.  This was one of those things I made to see what it was.  I've made it half a dozen time since discovering it and believe it may be a permanent wintertime hot drink around here.

Thank you AK1 .. I am sure that it is just sublime exquisiteness ..

It is absolutely wonderful in pastries .. Also in Moroccan cuisine.

I had some wonderful French Macarons filled with a filling of rose petals and rose wáter during the Macaron Exhibition last year, and they are unforgettable ..

Let us know how it turns out ..

Thanks and have a nice evening.
