I just had a salad made with all (except the dressing) things from my own garden: Leaf lettuce, baby romaine, spinach, dill, at least 2 kinds of basil (the sweet, lemon and lime have all grown so much the boundaries have blurred), thyme, chives, garlic chives, nasturtium leaves, kohlrabi greens, baby green beans, raspberries and blackberries, dressed with extra-virgin olive oil, raspberry balsamic vinegar, and a dash of Florida pepper.
My radishes failed again, but even without them, yum! Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I always get tall plants with stringy inedible roots, even when I fertilize them. |

They look healthy otherwise, though. It's weird.
Thanks! I have a teeny garden and half a dozen plants in pots, but they're doing really well this year. |

melissa - not sure about your radishes. we planted some last year and they were huge. not sure why, but difinitely something was done right ~
the only thing i can' think of is that it might have something to do with the depth of planting or maybe the soil itself. was it tilled well?

From what I've read, most likely I planted them too close together or they got too hot.
