Traditionally, every celebration they need to have enough food to feed an army. Christmas, New Years and Birthdays are a BIG DEAL. This was for 9 people. It was good to get together with old friends after being locked down for so long. Shashlik - pork shish-kebab grilled over charcoal Salmon pinwheels made with gravlax Cold smoked mackerel and sturgeon Farshmak - a Jewish/Ukrainian appetizer made with minced pickled herring (awesome) Alaskan Fish salad with caviar Tomato, fresh basil and feta salad Russian rye bread Cucumber/lettuce/dill salad Pickled mushrooms Grilled veggies Whipped potatoes 2 bottles of ice-cold vodka Dessert: Homemade carrot cake Fresh strawberries with whipped cream |
