We're keeping it simple for the game this year....going out first to hook up with friends, then coming home and making a nice batch of firehouse weiners for the game.

Go ahead...play with your food!

Dave - I'd be pretty tempted to make those firehouse wieners...I'll check with The Beautiful Mrs. Tas and see if she wants to give them a go.

Another thought that I had was bratwursts with a beer-cheese-onion sauce that I had made before. I'm thinking I can take your recipe, use the brats instead of hotdogs and top with this cheese sauce. It sounds good, just thinking about it!

TBMT usually makes a traditional 7-layer dip and home-made French Onion Dip, then sets out an array of chips and crackers of different types. I am sure that we will do that, as well. I'm also thinking of putting on a Mississippi Roast (If you haven't tried it...look into it!), then shredding it for sandwiches or cutting the meat in cubes and adding more stock for a soup - either way, it will be good.

We usually make up a nice meat-and-cheese tray, with some bread if anyone wants sandwiches; this would also pair well with the Mississippi Roast, if we do it.

I can't think of anything else off-hand -
